Hello, 2023!
Hello Dearest!
Another year has come and gone, and we’re so very grateful that you have been with us on our journey!
As we settle into the new year, you may or may not have noticed that the Fall/Winter 2022 collection still hasn’t dropped. “So what gives?” you ask. Well, the truth of the matter is that we didn’t have the budget to hire help this season as we did for SS22, so every single piece of the puzzle that is BRYAN van HAUGHTON from making patterns, sewing samples, admin, to managing and social media and creating content, etc. is all being handled by just one person. Overwhelming? Sure. Stressful? You could say that. But is the collection still coming? IT SURE IS! Since it has officially been winter for several weeks now, this collection will now be the Winter/Pre-Spring 2023 collection!
I’m very used to having to pivot in our direction and our plans have had to change more often than is ideal, but we keep moving forward! I could bore you to sleep (or to tears, depending) with the details of everything that goes into producing a collection and the time that it takes to complete a collection cycle, but I try to never do that to you. What I will say is that we’re very fortunate to have patient and understanding friends like you who prefer quality over speed and not having the pressure of keeping up with the traditional fashion calendar—even though being a little closer to it wouldn’t be the worst thing! Ideally, as we go forward, the Winter/Pre-Spring 2023 collection would otherwise be a standard Fall/Winter collection with a late summer/early fall launch, instead, it will see a January/February 2023 launch. However, if all goes well, then we very well may stick to this format! Only time will tell.
The good news that I can share with you is that we’re *SO* close to completing and launching the Winter/Pre-Spring 2023 collection, and if I haven’t mentioned it yet, we’re developing styles for Spring/Summer 23 at the same time! Although there is no official launch date for either collection, SS23 is on track for a sooner-than-later launch. There are also some very exciting developments happening in the first few of months of the year, although we can’t share many details—yet! I want to enter this year by expressing my gratitude to you for following along on this fantastic journey and being so supportive of BRYAN van HAUGHTON. I could have given up a thousand times in these last couple of years since the day I decided to follow this long-time dream of mine, but I can always rely on the fact that I have so many people cheering me on to keep me going forward.
