FW22 Update, etc.
Hello Dearest!
It has been some time since our last update, so I wanted to drop by to share with you some of the happenings here at BRYAN van HAUGHTON. TL:DR at the bottom of this post. 🥰
Firstly, I’m happy to announce we’re finally finishing up on the samples for the Fall/Winter 2022 collection, and although we haven’t yet decided on an official launch date, we’re definitely in the home stretch! Because of the events surrounding the launch of our debut Spring/Summer 2022 collection, the launches have had to be pushed out several weeks from our original launch dates. To ensure the subsequent collections arrive on time, we’re also working on the first pattern drafts for the Spring/Summer 2023 collection in tandem with finalizing F/W 22.
Because we are a made-to-order brand, we strive to launch collections as early as possible. I personally detest late launches for this reason, but as the sole member of a slow fashion company, I try to give myself some grace; getting a headstart on the next collection is how I plan to take actionable steps toward a smooth well-timed launch for the next and future collections.
In between all of this, we’re working on more video content from time lapse videos of the creative process—if you’re following us on Instagram @bryanvanhaughton, you’ll have seen some of these in our stories over the past couple of weeks— and even preparing to join TikTok! Better late than never! It may come as a surprise to you, but I am terribly camera shy so I have been essentially hiding behind the brand, treating it as an armor of sorts. However, I’m working up the courage to put a face to the name.
There’s certainly a lot on my plate these days with two collections, all of the administrative work, social media things and trying to have a modicum of a personal life (bless my very patient and understanding fiancé). In full transparency, it has been difficult to balance everything and I sometimes get very overwhelmed with all of the work that still needs to be done, but I just keep reminding myself that all of the pieces will come together at the right time and that one day hopefully sooner rather than later I’ll be able to hire help again!
