Our Story

Bryan van Haughton returns to the fashion industry after a nearly decade-long hiatus with the relaunch of his eponymous label, BRYAN van HAUGHTON. In 2012, at the age of 23, the designer was in the process of closing his first label, House of Fetch Couture, created when he was just 14 years old, which he cites as his “schooling years”.

“I never had any formal training, nor have I ever been a big fan of conventional learning. I was taught how to sew and manipulate fabric when I was five years old by my First-Generation Sicilian-American great-grandmother who was a seamstress nearly all her life. My first label was how I learned the ins and outs of running a small fashion business, and when I started, I was only around thirteen or fourteen years old. Those formative years are how I’m able to dive head-first into this new project, ready to relaunch in a more grown-up and sustainable way.”

After an initial attempt at rebranding back in 2012, financial struggles and a personal tragedy put the relaunch on hold—until now. Having developed his design style over nearly two decades, a mix of timeless silhouettes with classic men’s tailoring details infused into women’s garments, the BRYAN van HAUGHTON label is a love letter to all women, both past and present.

“The collections are always based on the concept of time, usually a specific decade in American society. For instance, the theme for the upcoming collection launching in the Spring of 2024 is “Safari 1979”. I like to get specific because it keeps all of my thoughts together and keeps the collections cohesive. The challenge is then how to make them feel fresh and modern while remaining true to that point in time. You should never feel like you’re wearing a costume—unless you are!

Both beautiful and functional, the label provides mix-and-match separates and smart dresses for both day and night.
